LifeGen Technologies maintains gene expression databases which collectively identify characteristics of specific genes. Gene expression is the process in which a gene produces a protein.
DNA > RNA > Protein
Every protein is a translated gene. Virtually all stages of disease and its progression are caused by changes in the sequence or levels of expression of genes.
These databases will surely save pharmaceutical companies a significant amount of time in their research. Leveraging the information in our databases will allow a firm to predict with more accuracy how drugs will react with specific genes and provide the basis for faster development of breakthrough drugs.
